Rooted in Values. Ready to Lead.

Positions by Topic

  • Homeownership is a cornerstone of the American Dream and the foundation of family stability. Yet rising property taxes place a heavy burden on families and threaten the very idea of true ownership. Policies must protect homeowners, prevent unjust increases, and ensure no one is taxed out of their home. Ownership should be honored—not penalized.

  • Parents have a fundamental right to direct the upbringing of their children—a right rooted in family, conscience, and love. Every child is uniquely made and learns in their own way. Parents are best positioned to choose the environment that safeguards their children’s hearts and minds, preserves their innocence, and cultivates their character. Whether public, private, religious, vocational, charter, or home-based, each option deserves support to ensure every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive according to their family’s values and beliefs. This sacred responsibility belongs to parents—not the government.

  • No person should ever be bought, sold, or exploited. We must fight for protection and advocate for justice. This fight is deeply personal. Every life is sacred, and we must defend the vulnerable. We must champion stronger laws and hold perpetrators accountable. Protecting the vulnerable is not optional—it is a moral obligation we must uphold.

  • Life is a sacred gift, created with purpose and deserving of protection. We must uphold the dignity and worth of every human being through every stage of development—from the moment of conception to natural death. A society that fails to defend its most vulnerable loses its moral foundation. Protecting life means supporting mothers and families, fostering a culture that cherishes children, and advancing compassionate care.

  • Marriage is a covenant, designed by God, between one man and one woman. It is the cornerstone of family life, the first community where children are formed in love, truth, and responsibility. As the fundamental building block of society, marriage strengthens neighborhoods, communities, and future generations. Protecting marriage means upholding the timeless values that sustain strong families—because when families thrive, Iowa thrives.

  • The right to keep and bear arms is not a privilege granted by government—it is a fundamental liberty rooted in the natural right of self-defense. Law-abiding citizens must always retain the ability to protect their families, safeguard their property, and resist any threat to their freedom. Policies should focus on enforcing existing laws and holding violent offenders accountable—not punishing responsible gun owners. A free people must always have the means to defend themselves, because liberty depends on it.

  • The framework of our Republic, the Constitution, safeguards the liberty to live out moral principles with integrity, upholding the founding ideals entrusted to us by our nation’s Founders and honoring both personal rights and moral responsibility. These freedoms must never be surrendered.

Meet Mandee

I would like to start off by saying how grateful I am – grateful for all the support I have received so far in this new venture of stepping out and running for Iowa Senate District 11!

As a wife, mother, and homesteader, this decision was not made lightly, but with significant consideration.  As I talk with people in my District and across Iowa, I am convinced that the time has come to be a voice to help protect what matters to Iowans – our families, our freedoms, and our future.

As many of you may know, I have worked for years with survivors of sex trafficking and fought tirelessly to shine light into the darkest places. I have sat with women and children whose dignity was stolen, whose voices were silenced, and whose pain was ignored. Their courage has shaped my resolve.  A resolve that carries into a desire to serve in a new way.

My interest in serving as Iowa’s District 11 Senator has never been about politics as usual . It’s about ensuring government serves the people—not the other way around.  Our communities are facing real challenges and the values that once held us together are being eroded through legislative processes.  With my strong work ethic, and your partnership, I look forward to making a difference and giving our District the energetic support it needs!

The next step in this journey is to win the primary election on June 2, 2026, which I humbly ask for your vote , so my name will be on the November ballot.
